Print 4 whale print-outs.  To print a template click on the template first, then choose PRINT from the File menu.
Choose from the following whales:
  • Color the whales
  • Cut out the whales.
Staple the whale together, leaving a small hole for the stuffing.  Using wadded-up pieces of the leftover cut paper, slightly stuff the whales.  Staple up the remaining hole in each whale.  Staple a length of string about 1 foot (30 cm) long to the top of each whale Vary the lengths a little bit.
Cut a 1 foot long length of wire from a clothes hanger using a wire cutter.  Repeat, using the other clothes hanger.  Using pliers, make loops at the end of each piece of wire, making sure that there are no sharp edges exposed on the wires.
Using the pliers, make a loop in the center of one piece of wire.  Thread the other piece of wire through the loop you just made.  Bend this second wire downwards and twistMake a loop that intertwines with the center loop of the first wire.
  • Attach a whale's string to each of the four outer loops
  • Attach a string to the top center loop - this is for hanging up your mobile

 Whale Oragami

Start by making a square piece of paper. To start making the square, fold one corner of a piece of paper over to the adjacent side.

To finish making the square, cut off the small rectangle, forming a square (which is already folded into a triangle).

Fold the tip over to just meet
the other folds.
Fold two opposite side over so
that they meet at the fold.
Fold the piece in half along the
central axis.
Fold the tail up.
Make a short cut through the end of the fold in the tail. Fold the edges of the tail outwards.
Draw eyes, fins, and any other patterns you like, and enjoy your whale.
